We care deeply about the security and privacy of your workspace. This policy explains the information Copi collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect
- Account details such as name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up or invite teammates.
- Workspace content you create inside Copi including notes, tasks, attachments, and comments.
- Usage analytics like device type, feature interactions, and diagnostics that help us improve reliability.
- Payment and billing details processed securely by our payment provider when you purchase a paid plan.
2. How we use information
- Operate and maintain the Copi workspace and deliver requested features.
- Personalize your experience through suggestions, templates, and productivity insights.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and keep the service secure and reliable.
- Communicate updates, respond to support requests, and share important policy changes.
3. Sharing and disclosure
- We never sell your data. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us run Copi (hosting, analytics, and payment processing).
- If you collaborate with others, the content and metadata you share may be visible to your teammates depending on workspace permissions.
- We may disclose information when required by law, to protect your safety, or to defend the integrity of our services.
4. Data retention
We retain your account information while you maintain a Copi account. When you cancel, we keep essential records for compliance and billing unless you request deletion. Workspace content can be exported or deleted by workspace owners at any time.
5. Security
Copi uses encryption in transit, access controls, and continuous monitoring to safeguard your data. We review vendors for compliance and train our team on secure development practices. No system is entirely immune from risk, so we encourage you to use strong passwords and enable device protections.
6. Your choices
- Update account details or manage notifications from your profile settings.
- Export or delete workspace content through admin tools, or contact support for additional assistance.
- Opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by adjusting your preferences in-app.
7. International transfers
Copi is operated from the United States. If you access Copi from another region, your information may be transferred to and stored on servers in the U.S. We rely on contractual safeguards and trusted infrastructure providers to protect that data.
8. Updates to this policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or regulatory changes. When updates are material, we will notify you via email or in-app messaging and indicate the updated effective date.
